It is an indian PCC and yes it is only valid for 6months.

Does it your PCC have a expiry date? Coz mine wife's PCC doesn't say that it is valid for 6 months only.
What state is the PCC from? Her PCC was done in february?

Manorite

Your wife can check with the local police station.

Most of the PCC in india are only valid for 6 months.

My husband's PCC has an expiry date on it. And I just realized it expired on June 27th!!! I hope they won't ask for a new one, we're almost to the end of the process!

i think PCC obtained from passport office is valid for one year and you can expect your PPR anytime after file transfer ;)
some got within 3 days and some didnt even after 4-5 months. in my case i got PPR right after 9 days of file transfer and after one month i got interview invitation :) i mean to say we cant predict anything about VO's processing, we can only expect something better :)
good luck for fast and smooth process

Validity of PCC is just 3 months and not 6 months. Your file should reach CIC-M within 3 months from the date of issuance of PCC

Hi Everyone

One of my friend's (lives in Toronto) wife got his visa from New Delhi on 1st July. I dont have all his exact dates but he told me that it took him little less that 5 months for the whole process. He got 1st stage done in 3months in Canada and almost 2months for the 2nd stage in Delhi. So this gives us an idea.
I am still waiting to hear from CIC-M, as my application was recd on 19th April. I calles the call center today and they told me that they cant tell me anything untill i see ''working on 19th April'' on cic website.

I thought of sharing this info with you guys.

according to information gathered from this forum, medical is valid for 1 year and PCC is valid for 6-12 months based on the country. i got one for india(validity not mentioned) and one for UK(valid for 1 year). CIC suggests to send PCC and medical not older than 3 months because they consider processing times also (upto 9 months). if you are living in or visiting a foreign country during processing time, VO can ask you for up to date PCC. if your case is complex and dont get visa within 1 year of your medical and PCC, you will have to do medical again not PCC.
