btw, what does AOR stands for?

Sometimes they send you Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR) for approval. However its not in 100% of cases. From the website it seems they are currently working on Nov start cases. So have some time before the sponsorship. You are likely to hear from them soon.

Back at the forum after two a day or so, and so many comments, loved reading all of them, and even better was the happiness I could feel for the people who got VISAs...wow, must be a wonderful feeling...

I wish you all good luck for a great start in a new Country, I have been in Vancouver for the last 12 years, and I love everybit of it...and I hope my wife could be here too, to appreciate the natural beauty it has to offer...

this Forum is definitely helping me staying strong, knowing I am not alone, and we are all in this together makes a lot of difference. I will keep praying...we all get our applications processed soon...and wish they could follow FIFO system... (first in first out)

Hi. I am assuming you're not from a visa-exempt country. Counterfoil is the "visa stamp" they affix in your passport. Visa-exempts only get the COPR, but non-visa exempts get the COPR and the counterfoil in their passport. This will allow them to travel to Canada and land.

What if the interview goes well n the visa officer asks for some more docs before taking a decision.... is this positive or negative??? As I believe its `yes or no` at the interview.. anyone with this kinda experience??

If interview Went well and in the end of of Interview, VO asked for more documents (more evidence to prove a genuine Marriage) means the person still in 50-50 situations. VO kept his final decision pending and if VO will satisfy with the more documents, it will go to positive result or else it will be a negative result. The process will also take longer in that case.

It might possible that you had noticed it on Sunday but in actual it might be changed on Friday or Saturday. ;D ;D ;D ;D

Passport required: Nov 03, 2012
Passport Received: Nov . 13, 2012
Ecas went In Process: Not sure but I think right after they received the passport.

AOR is Acknowledgement of Receipt. AOR is received by the sponsor when he submits the application post which he/ she is approved as a sponsor. That's the first stage.

Did not know you already got your visa. Try posting this query on the Family Class Sponsorship forum. I have not heard of anyone with such an experience here. Many be some one from outside India may be able to help.
