Hey cal2can, NDVO policy is that VO's are always right and if we think that we are right then again we are wrong, if they ask you for more documents then of-course you have to

submit them what all they ask for assessment of your application , its like you are driving a vehicle and you are the one to avoid signals, humps and pedestrian and we all the

sitting behind watching and guiding you. :D

Congrats to all those who got their Visas and passports and DMs etc.

But I am with Chitraajay here. This is not a very fair system. If they decided to make sponsorship time lesser, then some consideration should be given to people who wasted 3-4 months waiting.

I am in this forum since the time I applied. Then the sponsorship timing was 90-120 days. However, the time taken later was not bad. After sponsorship people usually got visas in say 2-3 months. For people like me, rahulCD, APScorpion, thinkpad, parthpatel and so many others, sponsorship time was three months, we lost almost a month or 2 over there. To add to the harassment, instead of granting sponsorship sequentially, they started june before may. So we were all left farther behind

When our sponsorship was done, we expected out files to be done in another two months.
But then began the the nightmare we did not even imagine. All those who went 'In process' in September, we just stuck there, For what now is clear as quota reasons.

Our MP did bring in a good news. Frankly I do not know how much to trust him, but I do. Its the only way to keep me happy. Not only for myself but so many others who have been stuck since ages. Because it means all our files are cleared. I will be happy when I get my DM, no doubt. But I will still be disappointed with the process. Its a despicable process. Its not going to make me think about the country 'Canada' like I would have, if the embassy was fair with people like me.

i m agree wid u mumble u know it is just canadian embassy style of working to keep things hide till last movement , i remember my sis case when my bro in law sponsered her they use to talk with vo in delhi australian embassy, even when everthing thing was done in ndvo my bro in law ask visa officer they said send my sis for stamping visa for 2 week to india (as she was on tourist visa in aus ) n every thing was done in 2 weeks thats how canadian emabssy should wrk.

From what I have heard, it used to work that way about 5+ years ago. I know of people who got passports back with visa within 2 weeks. But these days, probably due to marriage fraud, backlogs, etc, they are taking longer. Unfortunately there's not much we can do unless we personally know someone who works in CHC to pester them to do something about it. :(

It may totally be a positive sign if they are asking you to submit some more docs. They may just want an evidence of the stuff which was discussed in the interview.

Hi Anchal, Ive added your details to the sheet. Have you (if you are the sponsor) not received a file number or AOR yet?

Hello Saag2012,

no i haven't heard back from them at all yet... :(

btw, what does AOR stands for?

Isn't it chilly since a few days..I am drooping down to sleep every 15 mins. I am hibernating like a polar bear, till the visa comes out.

Hi. I am assuming you're not from a visa-exempt country. Counterfoil is the "visa stamp" they affix in your passport. Visa-exempts only get the COPR, but non-visa exempts get the COPR and the counterfoil in their passport. This will allow them to travel to Canada and land.

Hope this helps!
