Yes, I agree with you. 5 months is huge time. I don't even think its legal to hold a passport for that long. Is there any reason why the MP has not been able to provide any answers? Did you write to the delhi-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca regarding your situation?

I am also in a similar situation: I applied on Feb 27 to CIC Mississauga. Submitted wife's passport on July 10. Received query for additional documents on August 17. Submitted additional documents on August 21. After that received email on September 6 from ND office that additional documents have been received.

Since then I have not received any more communication.

My lawyer sent email query to ND office on October 10 requesting status of application. Now it is October 27 and no reply has been received. I have also approached MP, but the MP told me that as per the CIC website information, ND takes 9 months so my application is within the time frame and I should wait until March 2013. This does not make sense as most of the applicants have been approved in 2 months.
I am quite frustrated !

Hello Sduggs,

Did you mean most of the applicants who sent additional documents got approved
within 2 months since they sent additional docs.

Thanks,

Many days gone, no updates.. Even after inprocess nothing is happening these days...

Hello all,

Medicals were done on 2 August, 2012
Application sent to CIC on 11 August, 2012
Application received by CIC on 14 August, 2012
AOR on 18 September, 2012
Approval on 10 October, 2012

How long will it take to get the PPR? And how is it usually sent? Email or by regular mail? Please let me know how you guys got it so my wife knows what to expect.

Thanks!

Usually two weeks, and in my case, it took 28 days. There has been instances where it took well over a month.

PPR always has been through email, although regular mail is also possible but rarely snail mail happened based on reading this forum.

Haan..all experiments are happening with us. Its been more than a month since my application is 'in Process'. Those are my new most hated words now. Worst part is sponsorship approval time has been reduced to 43days!!! we waited for over 90 days for ours..Isn't this unfair.

thats right... 43 days now which is good for new applicants but sad for all of us and now even inprocess is not processing anything.. When I first saw in process we made up our minds that it will take 10-15 days but its even doubtful about time length.

Whhhhattt?? Only 43 days :( 43x2=86 ohhhhhhhh :( and It took 98 days for step I in our case. How sad for all of us. Waise ND should have compensated this by giving us visa earlier but naaaaaahhhhhh they are not in thew mood for that so taking maximum time in 2nd step too :( :( 185 days :( . Sometimes its like "hamare saath hi aisa kyun :( ?? "

Hi Guys,

We are about to submit our application as a common-law partner . It will be an overseas application , my visa office is New Delhi.

1) I just want to know in which address I need to send my application first?

2) Is it to mississuga address ? or I can send this to my partner in Toronto and she can submit the application in Missisuga?

3) How much is the fees ? and can I pay the fees online?

Guys I am planning to go to India in december for 2 months. This New Delhi people will
never complete the process and will keep people hanging, like a complete torture.
I dont know what will be outcome of me going to india on my spouse application
but there has to be a limit.
