dont worry hkbasi, they are trying hard to waive your interview first review means they are investigating about your relationship.
ppr is the first step of NDVO (they just request passport and keep your passport with your application to avoid any delay when your visa is ready). after receiving your full application package from mississauga, VO goes through all of your forms and supporting docs, if they have any doubts about relationship or your intention of going to Canada, they request additional docs or schedule interview. if they are convinced with your relationship and your intention of immigrating to Canada, they send your information to some other agencies for background and security checks and update your ECAS to "in process". after receiving your background and security reports, they go for final review and issue visa.

one thing i don't understand is they said application is still in queue from inital review? is that means that they haven't looked the file or they are working on the file

yes i think so too, all officers are busy theses days and they have only few visa officers in NDVO
i hope they finish initial reviews with your file soon

When your sponsorship was approved, did you get snail mail letter from Ottawa pilot for sponsorship approval or was that from CPC-M?

Just wondering what's the delay for some of us. 23 days since sponsorship approval, and no PPR yet...

As far as i know, ND VO sends PPR normaly in 2 weeks after your file got transferred from CPC-M.
But i dont know why, the ppl who sent their application in mid-april, its no where....those ppl are still waiting. On the other side, the may applicants are getting PPR first. What kind of system is this...!!!!

Just wondering what's the delay for some of us. 23 days since sponsorship approval, and no PPR yet...

For me, I got my e-mail (no AOR) from Ottawa Pilot saying that my sponsorship was approved and that the file is transferred to New Delhi. However, in the bottom of the email, it read: Case Processing Centre, Mississauga. So I don't know who sent me the sponsorship e-mail, Ottawa or Mississauga. I never received any snail mail.

Even for the passport request, my wife received an e-mail from New Delhi.

Can u elaborate...what do u mean by agencies for background check n security checks....How do they do it...any idea....because hkbasi n i got the passport request same time....so what are these guys doing still initial review....its very confusing...though my case is very straight fwd
