Hi There,
I would like to apply under CEC. But I have some doubts regarding my eligibility.
I have been working in Canada since July 2012 with one company , but I was sent to UK (worked for the same employer in UK) to work on a project for 6 months in March 2013 and returned to Canada in August 2013 and continuing the same job in Canada after my return. Even during my stay in UK, I was paid salary in Canada only. In this case am I eligible to apply under CEC or not?
Please can somebody clarify me?

If you are working from July 2012 - March 2013 ~ 8 months and later from August 2013 - Till now , I guess you are already eligible . I don't think there is any doubt in your eligibility , Correct me if I misunderstood.

Your work experience gained in the UK will not count even though (I presume) your employer was based in Canada. You will gain the qualifying work experience in August 2014 and hence be eligible in August 2014.

If your work experience in Canada is 12 months or more, you're eligible to apply for CEC (if your job is in NOC O,A or B). You can't calculate any work done outside Canada even if payed by the same company (CEC- Canadian Experince Class).

Thank you all for your replies.
I found something about this in CIC website.

How much work experience do I need to apply under the Canadian Experience Class?

You must have earned at least one year of full-time skilled work experience (or the equivalent in part-time) in Canada within the three years before CIC receives your application for permanent residence under the Canadian Experience Class. Your skilled work experience does not have to be consecutive but it must total one year of full-time work altogether.

“Full-time” means at least 30 hours of paid work in one week. One year of full-time work is at least 1560 hours.

So any comments/suggestions?
Thank you.

What you have posted above is correct. What kind of suggestions would like to hear?

So, since I have more than 12 months work experience in Canada (of course not in consecutive months) I am eligible to apply under CEC. Right?

If all your experience is skilled, then yes. That is, as long as you meet all other requirements as well and the experience
gained falls in the 36 months prior to your application.
