Congrats buddy! And good advice... One questions though. I know you did upfront meds and RPRF, but did you get a request for biodata from CIC? Curious if they skipped this step since you did everything upfront. Thanks!
Nah! They have asked for biodata and photos in the same PPR email.

Guys I got a question, recently I got an issue with my taxes of this year. let's just say that I owe some money according to government. My question is if I try to solve this problem through the legal way, would it affect me in my PR process??

It's important to say that are 2012 taxes the problem(the ones I declared this year), and my application was sent with the 2011 taxes because that's what I got by that time.

I mean obviously I would solve this somehow, but I don't want to get into trouble unnecessarily....

thanks in advance for the advices.

cheers.

Re: New CEC - Jan 2013 Applications

I hope the amount payable was determined during the tax assessment (as identified by NOA sent by CRA).

Is there a due date for paying this amount? If the amount is small, I suggest paying it off.

I don't know if cic validates tax details with cra - seniors can provide more insight.

That's ridiculous. Time and again, I have highlighted this. Anyone who does upfront medicals needs to insist on an acknowledgement from the physician and this needs to be submitted to CIC to evidence that you have undergone upfront medicals.

Thanks Andy.. I guess that's the mistake I did. I could not convince my lawyer to send the evidence and here I go with MR..and its been two months I have not have any update.

Well.. I am good as long as things get done. Hopefully.

As applicant, you can send the medical report yourself. No need to go through your lawyer always.

Hello guys,

When do you guys think i should hear abt my medical request . My application was received on Jan 25th. Looking at current trend since first week Jan applicants got some MRs , I would guess that I should hear back in 2 weeks. What do you guys think?

All speculation. The processing time is somewhat arbitrary for every application. For instance, several people from March have already received their medical requests. Many from November, December of last year are still waiting. Hopefully, though, you will hear soon. :)

I may be wrong, but this is my theory about faster processing.

I've been watching this site http://www.workingincanada.gc.ca/ since couple of weeks now. It lists jobs and outlook for jobs at various locations in Canada.

Your application may be processed faster if your intended occupation at your intended location of employment (as entered on the IMM008 generic form) is in demand i.e there is a large number of occupations available at that area + outlook for that job is fair or good.

Few of my friends from work have applied earlier than me, all with NOC 2171 and location as Toronto. None of us have heard from Ottawa. I've a friend who moved to Regina Saskatchewan, who applied in October 2012 and got PR in July 2013.

Anyways, this week I dont see much happening at Ottawa. Hardly few MRs. I got a reply from Ottawa last night that my application is still in queue for review by an officer ! I feel NN05116 is my visa officer as all mails have this ID in the signature with Good Day greeting at the beginning.

I hope we all get some positive news before Christmas.

You can try sending a physical copy of that letter through Canadapost ? Just include a explanation letter with your signature.

Hello All,

Mady_1982 : I am not sure if I mentioned by mistake on MR. But I have not yet received any.

I sent an email to OttPilot-immigration@cic.gc.ca asking about the police clearance. As I did not send with the application, so I wanted to ask if I can send now or need to wait for them to request. I received a response as below :

*****************************************************************************************************
Your application has been transferred to the Case Processing Pilot-Ottawa office for processing.
Any mailed enquiries or mailed responses to request for documentation should be sent to the following address:

Case Processing Pilot – Ottawa
219 Laurier Avenue West, 7th floor, section B
Ottawa, Ontario K1A 1L1
Canada

All e-mail enquiries should be sent to the following address only: OttPilot-immigration@cic.gc.ca
Please note original copies of all police certificates must be sent to this office.
Your certificates will be associated to your application once received.

Regards,
Case Processing Pilot - Ottawa | Centre de Traitement Pilote - Ottawa - KH5229
*****************************************************************************************************

I could not understand their response. Should I send the police certificate or no? As also has anybody started looking in to my application yet or not.

Any advise please!!
Regards,

There is no harm in sending PCC if you have them already. It will be added to the file and will save time in then requesting one.
There is no way to tell if someone is working on your file I'm afraid -- unless you order GCMS notes

Immigration target for 2013 - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/notices/notice-levels2013.asp

I remember seeing a dataset from data.gc.a which contains total number of visas issued under each category in the last 3 quarters.

I agree that they can skip the target for this year because of strike or meet the target by processing 2012 applications.

Anyways, can we just check the difference between actuals and target?

Thanks,

I had done upfront medical in India in Augst and asked for a confirmation of reciept from CIC
THIS WHAT THEY REPLIED
A note has been made on your file .
What should you understand by this ?
