Guys what is the current processing time for CEC, i mean does it match as shown in website for 13 months or is it early or later than that.....i curious to know trend from past....

Optimistic answer - approx 8 months. And if you are not so lucky.... 18 more or even more.

Hi Guys,
Just an update. CIC NS returned my whole application and the reason is they said that my son's birth certificate and passport copy is missing and not submitted. Actually it was there but they are looking for a Singapore Passport. My son was born in Singapore but he is not a Singaporean citizen. He is a citizen of Philippines and he has Philippine passport and Philippine Birth Certificate. Singapore does not practice same law with Canada whereby if you are born here then you get the citizenship automatically.

This is so weird because I submitted the same thing last April 2011 as FSW2 and got a positive AOR and they did not question about his citizenship. Anyway, I guess I will be re-submitting my application with a letter stating these facts.

The only sad thing about this is a month got wasted and I will be leaving this group and joining Feb 2013 apps.

Take note that CIC's letter was dated Feb 6 and I received the package today Feb 12. So it means applicants before me may expect their AORs probably this week.

Yes Andy2109, it's because of the question in their application form ... country of Birth and I put Singapore (and it is true..he was born in SG..I am not lying) ..and I have always done for all the forms that I filled up for Canada including my work permit and they never questioned this ..until now ... sometimes I thought the one checking the submitted document is a novice ... they could have called me for clarification ..but no, they labeled it as missing.... too frustrating.
