Freinds,

In my email for Visa Issuance for my CEC application, I do not see any request for sending photographs but I believe you hav to send photographs along with BioData + Passport + RPRF?>

Could you please advise?

Hi Sid,

If you read carefully the first few lines of the backgrounder published on cic website, you will find out that the new rules are only applicable for applicantions filed / will be filed later Nov 9, 2013.

So I dont think its a concern for existing application.

Cheers
IC

Spot on. It won't impact anyone who already had an application that has been received by CIC. I'm quite shocked however at the speed they have implemented this change. I would have thought they would have given prospective apps a couple of weeks notice, at least!

They don't always request pictures. As you likely provided pics when you submitted your application, you should be fine. Out of curiosity, did you ever get a MR from your CEC application? If so, when?

Thanks!

I fully agree with Jsm..as it may have affected few who are about to submit the applications. Not justified for them. Feel sorry.

Thamks JSM,

Yes I did submit 6 photographs of each (If I remember correctly) but my lawyer i asking again to submit the photographs ...I am bit confused here.

So where could I find the details ( specifications+how many)?

FYI - I did not get any MR for CEC case.

Thanks again.

i believe before the rule changed (before Jan 2013) cic requested 4 photos at the time of submitting your application and 2 extra when asking PPR. maybe your lawyer is still following the old rule.

I'm so confused....

I just found out that I applied for CEC under the old NOC code (Accounting bookkeeper 1231) which is now NOC 1311.... I applied in Jan 2013 and waiting for any progress, so far only rec'd AOR....... But does this change means my application would be rejected, because now I can't even apply under the same category and I wasted so much time!!!!

One thing I don't understand is, if this change got effective in 2011 (very surprised I didn't notice anywhere) why was I approved for LMO. I applied for LMO under the same old NOC 1231 in May 2012 and it got approved in Sept 2012. If old NOC was a problem, they should have spotted at the same time?

Any insights would be really helpful, as I'm so confused Sad

Thanks a bunch !

Can you read? It's been answered several times already today.

The answer is no

My question is not concerning the new rules about blocking a few categories in NOC B codes.... If you read properly, my question is concerning a mistake that I just found out about my application. I filed it under old NOC code 1231, which got changed in 2011 to NOC 1311... I'm asking if this is a problem or not?

Should be fine if you've applied in Jan2013. AFAIK they were still using the NOC 2006 system beginning of the year. Or at least
accepted the old system.

Does make you think eh?!

Implementing it so quick must of meant some kind of issue, now im only speculating and apologise in advance for the guys with those NOC's but I think they could see these NOC's getting abused and hence the withdrawal.

For they guys who are honest, the dishonest ones screwed it all up!

Fellow Jan applicants,

Those of who have completed MR (and doctor has confirmed that results were uploaded), does ecas show that the results have been received?

I have a feeling that CIC is aiming for a 10-11 month processing time for CIC.

Good luck to folks still waiting for MR - I hope that bulk of Jan applicants would have gotten MR before Nov end.

hi HY325,

CIC asked for 6 photos even under the old rules,i remember supplying 6 photos when i applied last year.

I sent 6 photos for myself when I submitted the application in Jan.

I married in Sept and informed CIC - this time CIC only asked 4 photographs for my spouse.
