24th Day in Jan and we already have 22 applicants.
Going by the pace of Nov / Dec 2012 applications.... Early Jan applicants should be expecting their AOR towards Feb end / early March.
But do expect some updates on payment charged (Credit Card auth / Money Order / Draft) earlier.

Hi Jan 2013 applicants,

I have filed my application and its been received this morning.

Good Luck for all of us.
Thanks Andy for creating the spreadsheet. I am gonna add myself now.

Regular mail :) anything from Canada post can go to p.o. box

Regarding the mail adress, if you use Xpress it is considered as a courier because someone has to sign when it is received.
Thus, one should use the courier adress.

Hi Andy and everyone
Just checking in and have a couple of questions.
I sent my application on the 11th using a courier and since then I've been checking my application status but nothing shows up. How long did it take yours to show up on CIC site?

As for the Jan applicant spreadsheet here, how can I add my name on it?

cecappl,

You can not check anything about your application until you receive your AOR which you will receive within 2 or 3 months after you file it. I dont even know how you are trying to check it since the application is not online.

If im wrong, please correct me.

the spreadsheet:

Agree with green_dc. It will take 2-3 months for the application status to show up.
Thanks to Saruyashi for creating the spreadsheet.

Thanks for the info. I've been trying to check it using the clint# but it
kicks me out showing it is not available.
I guess I need to be a little more patient.

That was the answer I got when I asked the lady from Canada post office. So I sent my application to pobox with xpress and they received it just fine :P
So I don't know what to say.

I have a sense that CIC will be much faster this year as they are aiming to accept more immigrates for 2013:)

Quick question,
Can we staple each application together? I swear I saw somewhere in the application that says "don't" but now I cannot find it...:( can we staple them together? It looks really messy if I don't...

As far as I know, we are allowed to use a paper clip to attach small items such as photos but we are not allowed to staple anything. As long as the docs are in the same sequence as the checklist, they should be able to figure out what's what pretty easily.
