New CEC - Jan 2013 Applications

Hello All,

I am just wondering what actually is happeneing with PR applications after the strike got over. Atleast before the strike got over we saw some activity of MRs for early jan applicants and also some december applicants. Since the last 2 weeks there seems to be no movement , this way I am kind of very skeptical that we might only be able to get the PR like may or jun 2014.

Please contradict me if you think otherwise.

They are trying to catch up with the visitors, students, and workers visas. I dunno where I hear but seems like there is a month of delay in those applications.
After that I think they will go back to normal pace checking PR's. Additionally, I think this process is gonna last 13 months. :(
 
Yet another day ... And the wait is getting worse...
My gut feeling says that we might see some actions out end.....

Just want to share something. When I informed cpp Ottawa about my marriage, they requested me to send the details to their address. First address line was Attention: Officer.

Is this because my file is already with an officer? Kindly share your thoughts.

I got new set of gcms yesterday - no major updates since last time. Only criminality in progress. However, in notes section, I see an update on my intended occupation and place of employment.

It looks like cic started processing couple of jan applications, then realized that there are folks from last year! Also, the strike getting over does not seem to have any effect on processing. It's slow as a snail.

Anyone has any updates?
 
A Feb applicant got MR too, thinking it was NOC 2147, but wasn't.

Andy - A quick question to you :

I remeber that you have done the upfront Medicals ? Is the same got updated for you while you see your application status online ?
Means can you see that - medical Received in your status ?

whoooppss my bad, yeah got the numbers wrong way round!

they guy had 0631, that food service supervisor in that category
 
Looks like we may see some more feb applicants getting MR, even though they haven't given many for JAN

yeah its hard to figure out the way they are working... lets see...
 
My friend who applied in nov just got his MR. Noc 2171. It's all random.

I feel that mine will be delayed long as I just got married and updated my application to include my spouse. My gcms also shows no updates.
 
He also got ppr now.
