Dear friends, I need your experience about TRV.

I have a study permit and a corresponding student TRV both expire this September. But I already finished study at Dec/2014. So due to CIC new policy, my study permit will automatically expire in 90 days (around the end of March).

Anyway, I applied my PGWP already and it's currently on CIC's hand. (very low processing speed)

The thing is I need to go outside of Canada for a trip, I am worrying my returning back to Canada, at CBSA desk, will my student TRV still work for them? Or do I need to re-apply for a new TRV with my PGWP?

Thanks for your time
Greg

This sums things up nicely:

It would be worth bringing proof of your PGWP application, but it shouldn't be needed.

I think OP is worried that somehow the TRV and the SP are linked together and, as a result of the SP expiring in 90 days, the TRV will expire as well.

TRV and SP are not related after the TRV is issued. So there should be no problems using the TRV for rentry.

However I advise against anyone to be travelling when documents are expiring (I'm just paranoid :D ).
