Hey Seniors, need your guide!

I have done the medical two days ago and today received two emails from CIC.

Note:we are living in our home country, not in Canada.

1st email: request the RCMP record for my spouse

my questions:
1,she only stayed in Canada for just less than 6months. According to the guide, we didn't submit her RCMP. Now CIC is requesting. can we argue?
2,Because we are living in our home country (China), the police station doesn't provide the fingerprint service, we can get it from a notary office. Is it ok?
3,it might be longer than 30days they requires, do we need to send them an email to explain? if so, which email address?

2nd email: right PR fee and biodata
my questions:
1, I paid online by credit card and got a receipt. Should I fill in the receipt since there are some blanks with name, dob, etc?
2, according to the guide, email this receipt to them is enough, is it correct?
3, Biodata form, can you fill electroniclly? I can't, and plan to fill it by hand and scan it. is it ok?

Thank you very much for your help!

1st email: request the RCMP record for my spouse

my questions:
1,she only stayed in Canada for just less than 6months. According to the guide, we didn't submit her RCMP. Now CIC is requesting. can we argue? You could argue, but it won't help. They have decided that they want this, so you should send it in.
2,Because we are living in our home country (China), the police station doesn't provide the fingerprint service, we can get it from a notary office. Is it ok? Not sure on this one. Hopefully someone else will answer.
3,it might be longer than 30days they requires, do we need to send them an email to explain? if so, which email address? Yup. If you need more than 30 days, tell them in advance, and give them an explanation as to why you need more time. Which office is processing your application?

2nd email: right PR fee and biodata
my questions:
1, I paid online by credit card and got a receipt. Should I fill in the receipt since there are some blanks with name, dob, etc? Sure. Fill it in, scan, and email it to the address given in the email.
2, according to the guide, email this receipt to them is enough, is it correct? Yes.
3, Biodata form, can you fill electroniclly? I can't, and plan to fill it by hand and scan it. is it ok? By hand is ok, just make it legible.

Thank you very much for your help!

- CIC only request the RCMP clearance if there is a name match when they run the check... So you do need to submit this.

2,Because we are living in our home country (China), the police station doesn't provide the fingerprint service, we can get it from a notary office. Is it ok?

- Is this for the PCC from China or for RCMP?

3,it might be longer than 30days they requires, do we need to send them an email to explain? if so, which email address?

You should be able to locate the e-mail address on the CIC website or on the e-mail they sent you. If you require more time, you definitely need to inform them.

2nd email: right PR fee and biodata
my questions:
1, I paid online by credit card and got a receipt. Should I fill in the receipt since there are some blanks with name, dob, etc?
- Correct, you can e-mail this to them when complete.

2, according to the guide, email this receipt to them is enough, is it correct?
- Yes

3, Biodata form, can you fill electroniclly? I can't, and plan to fill it by hand and scan it. is it ok?
Will be fine.

Thank you very much for your help!

The others have already answered your questions. As to where to get the fingerprinting done for the RCMP clearance, I suggest you contact the nearest Canadian Embassy/Consulate - No promises that they will be able to help, but they might even have the facilities to do it.

http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/china-chine/contact-contactez.aspx?lang=eng&menu_id=19

If you can't get any info there, ask the RCMP if fingerprints taken by the notary will be accepted before you do it -
http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cr-cj/fing-empr2-eng.htm#Application

Thanks a lot, GinnyPi

I believe you need to use this tool to contact the Beijing office:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/missions/beijing.asp

Click on the link beside "case specific", and follow the instructions. As I said, give them a quick explanation of why you need more time.

todd, I just saw that the US Embassy in Beijing also provides information on places that will do fingerprinting -

thanks a lot. I will give them a call and find it out. Very useful information.

hi Jes-on,

Thanks for your info.
We got fingerprint from the agency mentioned on US embassy. They are professional and helpful. However, they only use their own fingerprint form which includes all the necessary info. We sent it to RCMP by DHL. It should get there in a couple of days.
We didn't use a third agency who can transfer the paper-fingerprint to electronic one. According to RCMP processing timeline, it takes 18weeks. We are fine with this timeline since I'm working in china and not rush to move back to Canada.

If RCMP receives the fingerprint within 30days, do I need to email CIC and explain the situation? Does RCMP really need 18weeks to process a paper fingerprint? Anyone has advice?
Thanks:)

By the way, we paid the fee RFR, sent bio data.

Great, glad that was of use.

Yes and yes. If CIC requested the clearance with in 30 days and you cannot provide it, you should email CIC and tell them when you sent your application to the RCMP, and how long it will take to process the request. Otherwise, if you simply do not respond within 30 days, CIC could interpret that as refusal to provide requested documents.

great, thanks.

I will email them that RCMP received the fingerprint and it will take 18 to process according to the RCMP. Which email address should I send to?

You received the request by email, right? Can you not reply to that email?

Anyway, assuming your VO is at CCP-Ottawa -
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/canada/ottawa.asp

"Use this ottpilot-immigration@cic.gc.ca e-mail to ask CPP-O about a Permanent Resident case."

Yes, we received the request from this email :OttPilot-Immigration@cic.gc.ca

I submitted our application to CIC and listed Beijing as the visa office. However, I assume that I can just email this email OttPilot-Immigration@cic.gc.ca and explain to them.

what you think, Jes-on?

Thanks
