My PR card expired in February. I submitted the renewal application and it was returned with a request for certified copy of my divorce certificate and driver's licence. I had the documents certified and resubmitted the application with all the paperwork. I have an airline ticket to fly to US for a family wedding in two weeks. I phoned CIC and they told me I most likely won't receive my PR card in time for this trip. I am a full time resident who has lived and worked here for 20 years and meet all residency requirements. If I travel and bring all my papers with me (expired PR card, record of landing, tax assessments, driver's licence, copy of my PR renewal application etc etc) will I be able to board the airline (Air Canada) back to Canada and be allowed back into the country. I travel on an Irish/EU passport.
