Can I Travel with expired PR card.

Hello,
I need to travel back to india in an emergency. My PR card has been expired and I recently applied for new one. I know it will take time. My only question is can I travel with expired PR card. Isn’t there any issue with airline while at airport. Someone will bring my new card or I would apply for PRTD for coming back.

You do not need a PR card at all to travel out of Canada, just a passport that will be accepted for entry at your destination. You will need the PR card or PRTD to return by air.

So if you are okay with your plans to return to Canada, no issues leaving with expired card or no card at all.
