Hello

I have submitted my application to sponsor family member(SPOUSE) outside Canada.

Today i have received SPONSOR approval letter from case processing center -Mississauga. They have entered my wife last name wrong(they have entered before marriage surname instead of after marriage surname.we used after marriage surname in Application forms, PCC,medicals and passport but Not sure how CIC is displaying before marriage name)

Please advise how to get it corrected.

On the sponsor approval letter they should have indicated which visa office will be processing your wifes PR and usually they include an email address which you can use to contact that office and advise them of the issue with the name.

i would also submit a new copy of the passport to confirm the fact the name is indeed her married name. the approval paper must be the same as the passport.

If I may ask.. when did u send in ur application??
Hope you find out what's wrong there..

I'm guessing they know your wife's before marriage surname through her Birth Certificate/Education certificates? Its really curious why they would revert to that surname in processing...In any case, good thing you spotted it! As suggested, notify them as early as possible, and hopefully this does not delay your application in anyway.
