Need to Travel Urgentt........?

I have to travel this week due to some emergency but i have not yet received my PR card. I read that i can apply for travel document from the country i am traveling to. I wanted to know if there is a certain residence obligations(730 days) in order to apply for travel document.Or i can apply because without 730 days obligation because i am newly landed immigrant.i am not from visa wavier country.

where are u travelling to the PR Card gives you permission to come back to Canada it does NOT void the other country entry requirement so if u needed a visa before becoming a PR you still need a visa now the only "problem" is trying to get back into Canada and thats where a travel document comes from when u attempt to re-enter without a PR card and the residency requirement is for Canada so another country wouldnt be too concern u don't meet the residency requirement here

I landed and left 10 days later and entered almost 3 months later with a travel document, no problem at all.
