Need some help for landing

Hi guys,

I received my passport and CoPR and I am planning to land this weekend. I just have a few questions:

1> I am living in Calgary AB. What would be the best place to land?

2> Do I need to call to confirm if I can do landing on weekend? ( or this is not necessary at all)

3> What kind of document should I bring along except Passport, ID and CoPR? May be work permit and bank statement which shows my address?

4> My friend who is applying the PR now and he wants to come with me to border together. Are there gonna be any issues for him since he is not coming for landing.

I know some questions are really dump but I really want to make sure everything is good to go. Thanks everyone!

If you are OK with driving to the US, then head to Carway, Montana < 3 hours). Otherwise you can probably sort it out at the Harry Hayes building.

If you're going to US, I'd probably go to Carston and flagpole it.

I should get my CoPR in the next couple of weeks and will be doing that. So long as the border office is open, you should be fine.

Really you just need your passport and the CoPR, but it can't hurt to bring those extra documents as well (not like it's much weight!).

Your friend should be fine, assuming they have a visa to re-enter Canada.

If you're going to spend a night in the US, make sure that you have the US Visa Waiver (if it's applicable to you). You can get this online and it speeds US immigration up quite a bit. You can just get it at the border, but it's slow times.

One more thing... if you do decide to drive to Montana, go check Waterton if you've not been before. Crazy beautiful.
