Hi guys
I was wondering if anyone can help me, my gf is on work permit right now which will be expiring in 2-3 months. I will not be able to sponsor her till April of next year. What options does she have to stay here until then? Can we get married and extend her stay as a visitor until I am eligible to sponsor her? We were thinking to explain in the letter that the only reason a visitor visa is needed is so I can sponsor her next year. She is not from a visa exempt country.
Any help will be appreciated.

What happened to that relationship? What is the timeline with both relationships? Depending on the timeline/circumstances, IRCC may look closer than usual at your app.

That relationship ended as things were not working well between us. The last one ended in 2015 and the new one started in early 2016. My only concern is she not getting approved and her having to head back. That could mean us living apart for at least a year or so given the current processing times.
