I have a 7-8 pages letter of explanation related to my Canadian work experience and my Foreign work experience. Most of it (around 3-4 pages) is related to my Foreign work experience.

Is it better to have LOE separately, like in the Canadian experience package, have an LOE for any clarifications for that in the same PDF. Then, in the Foreign experience document package, have a LOE in the same pdf clarifying anything related to that.. then in the other education section, have a LOE for the same if there is anything to be explained. Or just one single PDF explaining all of them in the client section in the end? Any insights are highly appreciated.

A 7-8 page LOE is pretty long. Why is such a long LOE required?

I got a refusal earlier because I unintentionally missed on adding my payslips for my foreign work experience, and then I requested a reconsideration. In the meantime, I got another ITA, and I am submitting my application again. I have a few things to clarify regarding my foreign work experiences. Also, for my education documents, the originals had a spelling mistake in my name, and then, I got new ones, but the date on those transcripts shows 2-3 years later than my actual graduation date, so I had to clarify that as well. So I am thinking if I should add an explanation for every document so that the officer can read it while looking at those documents, or one master LOE.

I would recommend keeping the LOEs with the documents they relate to, rather than putting everything into one large letter.

For example:

  • Include a short LOE in your Canadian work experience PDF explaining any issues specific to that employment.
  • Include a separate LOE in your foreign work experience PDF covering only the clarifications for that experience.
  • If your education documents require explanation (e.g., name discrepancies, missing documents, gaps), include a brief LOE in the education package as well.
This makes it much easier for the officer to review each section without having to search through a lengthy 7–8 page letter. If there are broader issues that apply to your entire application, you can also upload a concise overall LOE in the Client Information/Optional Documents section.

In general, keep each LOE focused, well-organized, and as brief as possible. Officers tend to appreciate clear, document-specific explanations over one long letter covering multiple unrelated topics.
