My PGWP expires in May. I've been living with my girlfriend (canadian citizen) since September. We plan to file common law in September.
In my letter of explanation, how do I balance the "will return home after visitor visa ends" requirement with disclosing that the reason for this visitor record is so I can continue cohabitating with my Canadian girlfriend, and plan to file common law when I am eligible? Do I need to provide any "evidence" in this visitor record application to show that I am in such a relationship?
I was also advised to demonstrate home ties. How can I show home ties when my undergrad and job were/are in Canada, and my long term girlfriend is also Canadian?
Also, in the visitor record form, as purpose of visit to Canada, should I tick the "Visit" box, or "Other" and then add some detail there?
