Hello, please if your international passport is expiring in April 2015, Can you still apply for a study permit with it in september 2014 for january 2015 entry ?

He is going for jan intake and his passport expires on april.

How can he apply for a study permit, when the passport is gonna expire in 4 months.

He cant even apply for a 6months visitor visa.

1. Incorrect. OP will get SP for 4 months if approved. USA rules of minimum 6 months PP validity isn't applicable in Canada.

I think you can apply for visa, but you wll be getting study permit only till aprl.

if you are applying for your passport renewal in jan, how long will the process takes?

coz, if you need to extend your study permit, you should apply atleat 30 day b4 the study permit expires.

Check on all those.

You should submit ur letter of admission along with an application for passport renewal mentioning that u have to apply for visa thats y u need renewed passport prior to passport expiration period.
