My mother wll be travelling to Canada on 7th may she hold pr card which was issued to her in 2014 .She only had stayed in Canada for 6 months during the year 2014 .Now since her pr card will be getting expired in 2019 she is going back to Canada for a longer stay now maybe forever .My question is that i have heard now a days they are making trouble to immgiratant and comming harh to them at the airport (even deport) who have not make their stay longer in Canada after getting pr she is aboove 65 yrs old is .Now same thing can happen to her and she has to face the same trouble once she land in Tronto air port ? please advise .

In order to maintain PR status, your mother must spend 730 days (2 years) in Canada out of every 5 year period. She can spend up to 3 years outside Canada.

Although the specific dates matter, if what you've said is true, she is currently fine.

For example: If her PR was granted on Jan 1st 2014, and she spent 6 months in Canada, leaving on June 30th 2014, then she must return to Canada no later than 30th June 2017 (which is still about 2 months in the future). If her PR was granted later in the year, then she has more time in hand.

That said, the longer she leaves it before arrival, the less days she can spend outside Canada before 2019 - so if there was a family emergency, or even if she just wanted a long vacation somewhere, she might find she wasn't able to leave without endangering her PR status.
