ND Work Permit Processing Time since February 2012?

Still no reply or update.. The process has been rather very tedious.
Above in the post an applicant submitted his passport on the 14th Nov after the medicals and got his visa on 26th Nov..where in i submitted my passport on the 15th Nov and still awaiting the response..

..don't know what's taking too long...it's 42nd day today

What I beleive, the only possible reason for the delay seems to be the avalanche of student visa applications at CHC. The VFS office was flooded with students filing their applications, which I witnessed when I went to submit my medicals, today.

I got my visitor TRV (valid for one year) stamped on 28th September 2012 and then I applied for Worker TRV on 23rd October 2012 .Do you think I still need to submit medicals again..Earlier I had submitted all the tests..Could this be a reason for delay.....Is medical mandatory for every TRV ?
Actually I have my tickets booked for 14th December..Have dropped emails to CHC and on 21st They replied that your file is awaiting VO review .Then i requested them to fasten the process and they replied on 27th that they have forwarded my request to concerned section...but as such no concrete reply...
Any idea about these..

Hi guys...have resubmitted my passport n medical receipt to CHC delhi via VFS on 23rd Nov,2012 for my work permit n TRV....but Still no response from them...I was told by VFS that i would get a response, most probably visa itself in 5 working days....I have already sent an enquiry to CHC yesterday but I am not really sure they will be replying promptly....

Any ideas on the time line....how many more days shud i expect guys...I am currently employed in Muscat & have to report back at work for my handover after which I can fly happily to Calgary with my family to enjoy the chilling winter

Normally, your medicals are valid for one year. Therefore, I do not think you need to submit your medicals again. But no need to worry about the delay as it seems to be a norm with the process at CHC, ND, nowadays, and they will definitely update you, if at all they need it.

Another member (hir_nirun) in this thread has submitted his medicals on Nov 21st but did not receive any update from ND so far. Therefore, I guess it is taking some time to process the applications.

I am just interested which DMP had u approached for the medicals....on reading ur post, I just realised that u did the medicals on 21st November & resubmitted the passport to VFS with just the medical reciept the same day...

In my case from VFS mumbai, I ws told to submit the passport along with the copies of the 1st page of the medical reports & CHC delhi medical request letter....I could get hold of the 1st page of the medical reports only on 21st November,2012 whereas my medicals were conducted on 16th November,2012....

Subsequently i Resubmitted my passport along with the copies of the 1st page of the medical reports & CHC delhi medical request letter on 22nd November,2012

Just want to get some clarity on the working ways of the CHC & VFS.....

You only need to submit your medical receipt (not the payment one) you received from the DMP along with your passport.

As Summerr said, my wife only needed to submit receipt.
One of her medical test was positive, so she was asked for some more tests last week.

Test results will arrive sometime this week and it will be submitted to CHC.

Finally got some response.....hope so its a positive one...

Processed visa has been released by CHC to VFS....now waiting for the passports to be delivered thru VFS at the earliest.....
