Hey Sqazi,

1) You have to select Open work permit if you do not have a job offer and your spouse is falling under skills A, B or 0 in his/her job. I am not very sure about spouse with student visa. But you can check in the CIC website what are the requirements/eligibility for someone whose spouse has student visa. You can check your eligibility on CIC website (temporary worker)

2,3,4,5) If you are eligible for OWP then you can leave the other questions blank.

But the processing time mentioned in candainternational.gc.ca is still 1 month... which 1 to believe.

I applied for OWP in NDVO via VFS on 7-Jan-2013. Till now no update. VFS tracker shows "Under processing" from day one.
Any one who applied on or after 7-Jan got any update ?

Well, based on others' examples, it should not take more than week after medicals. I'm talking within a week after your medical reports have reached CHC (not the day you complete medicals). Just ask your DMP when did your reports get delivered. Since you completed on 1st viz. Friday, it's likely they delayed.

I completed my medicals on 31st. When I called yesterday, the DMP people said they were almost done sending my reports (online), yesterday afternoon. They took almost a week to just say "almost sent".

Update: DMP says my medical reports got delivered today, 7th Feb :|

Dude.......I also do not know why the passport was dispatched. It has reached the destination today and my wife will collect on Monday and then will come to know what happened.
I believe that the approval might have come and still keeping my fingers crossed for the good news.
