Hi People,
Nairobi forum is so "silent" nowadays, may be its because our very own Visa Office Nairobi is silent too.
Am still waiting eager for VO to fix another date for my interview & am still hopeful that may be before they close-off four Xmas break they may communicate. Oh God the waiting is really killing me & my hubby!!! Imagine since Sept up to now!!!
By the way, how long do they take in their Xmas break???

Hi Rose they take only 3 days off not in a row but 25th December, boxing day and New year that's it. since you sent more pictures and other supporting documents they may have waved your interview long time without telling me. That is what my got feeling tells me unless otherwise. Did you order your GCM not? it will help so much.

My wife got her passport back with the magic sticker and her COPR yesterday!
Good God its finally over.
They issued the visa on December 2nd which means 2 days after they got the passport (as per tracking #), that was super-fast.
They are working but silently and this is good hope for all of you still on the waiting game.

We used UPS to send the passport both ways and they called her when they got it back from Nairobe CHC and of course we were following the package by the tracking number.
They didn't send it to Addis embassy, but some people got their passport through Addis embassy.

Its good note that the Embassy does not close for a long time during the festive season. so hopefuly they continue working on our applications. My husband had sent extra pictures & supporting documents way back in July, how i wish after this long waiting after cancelling my September interview they just wave-off my interview!!! Just keeping my figures crossed and hope for news any time. We ordered for our GCMS Notes and we are expecting them by end of this month. Only God know.

I wish you all the best of life with your family. For now i dont hope to hear anything within the few remaining days of the year but am very hopeful that January may bring good news to me. Its a pity that our Nairobi forum is so silent and members rarely login to share their experience. Hope you keep checking on this forum and advise where necessary. We are now waiting for the GCMS notes early January, so this will help us know more about our file.

checking the e-cas is A kinda daily ritual , for all of us they updates are painfully slow but still it gives us some hope.

I checked today as well and here is my status

1. We received your application for permanent residence on November 18, 2013.

2. Medical results have been received.


on the 20th Dec i received an email that stage 1 is approved and file will be transfered to Nairobi office,
So far the E-cas don't show that file is transfered yet but i saw that the medical results are received, are these medical results requested by the Nairobi office ? or still CIC Mississauga is handling it?

Hi Camelboy, yeah checking online daily is kinda a ritual for me too lol ... I don't know about the medicals - I would think since they pertain to the sponsored person, then nairobi would be the one to deal with it but its just my assumption ... lucky you, your medicals received showed up pretty soon .. mine didnt until 3 months after first stage approval...
