Folks,

I had the test/interview at Ottawa this morning.

- Test is easy if you read the "Discover Canada" Guide thoroughly. I scored 20/20, took 2 minutes to complete the test. I was out of the room in 5 mins.

Arrive a few minutes early, have the test invitation letter and PR card ready.... they quickly check the names on these two with the list they have
and let you go into the test room....

In the order you finish the test, the interviews are called. I had brought a lot of documents, since i have a LOT of stamps in my passports, and more than 30
one day u.s. trips as well. The officer was very nice and she just asked me for the passports, PR card, Landing document, Drivers License and Health Card.

I mentioned to her i had the CBSA, CBP and OHIP reports...she didnt want any of it. She only randomly checked 3 dates from the residence calculator sheet
against my passport. I had mentioned all of the one day trips to the U.S. as well in the application because i have so many stamps in my passport. We
chatted about kids, summer and school while she looked at a couple of pages on the passport.
The ones she checked, happened to be the day trips. She asked questions about my family and why/when i quit working, and what i plan to do in the future.
When was the last trip outside Canada after i applied, where i went and what i did. ( i took 3 week vacation immediately after applying). She did not check
the stamps for it though.
I noticed she put a check in each of the columns on the sheet she was filling out...and also asked if i had any trouble with the law before in Canada.

Finally she said, everything looks fine. Will recommend the case to the judge and you will hear back in 1-3 months about the oath ceremony!

That is it, folks. I dont know if i will get hit with a RQ in the mail. We will see what happens next.

Thanks to everyone on this forum who have provided very valuable suggestions.
Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Thanks!

Raincouver,

It was my personal decision to list all my one day trips. I had ordered CBSA report before i applied and it was missing a lot of entries.
So, i made sure that i included all the entries in my passport and CBSA record on the residence calculator, just thinking that if the officer
wanted to check only a randomn few, then as long as any date that he/she picks from the passport is on the list, it may make life easier
for me.

I was not looking forward to sitting there and having to verify each and every stamp on my passports. The U.S. valid visa was on my
old passport and in between the two passports, it includes stamps from 19 years of travel and i used to travel quite a lot before i moved to Canada.

I debated whethere i should make the entries or not.... depending on what the cic website advises and also based on the valuable comments from
some senior members on this forum. And finally i made the decision to enter it. I had more than 1430 days of physical residence anyway,
so, i didnt mind entering two sheets of dates on my residence calculator.

Hope this helps! Good luck.
