My question to those who have already landed in Canada plz Help!!!

Hi ,

I am gonna land in Canada , Can any one let me know that which ID or card will make first after landing?

1) Social Insurance Number SIN card or

2) Health Card or

3) Driving Licence

I only have Copy Of Permanent Residence (COPR).

SIN is the fastest and easiest one.
Then, you should open a bank account.
Then, apply for the health card.
While the driving license is something that you may prepare yourself for it from now.

SIN for sure, you will get it immediately. They no longer issue SIN cards, just a piece of paper with a number on it.

Then health, as it could take up to 3 months to kick in depending on your province.

The DL could be complicated depending on if your province has a reciprocal agreement with the country you got your original DL in.

I am in MB.

After landed, I made health card first and it kicks it right away. (at least in MB, not sure about other province )

I only brought my COPR letter and passport to make a health card, then I made SIN no. few days after.

Driving licence - I had it before so I could easily renew it.
