I think that soon my boyfriend (sponsor) will recieve my Quebec Selection Certificate, since they recieved our application on october 8th 2012. I was wondering. I know that he has to send it to me, but does he have to send me the original or a copy?

And then....
What do I do with it?

He should send you the original. It says on it that you need to keep the original in case of future...whatever.

The CSQ update should be sent to your VO directly from Quebec. I received an email stating that my VO was waiting for my csq (about the time that I got mine in the mail), so I just sent them a copy in the mail just in case with a note asking them to let me know if that was good enough. I eventually got an email stating that they had my csq and it was all set.

Thank you for your respons. I hope it comes in this week. This week I'm still with my boyfriend in Montreal, but Sunday I go back to the Netherlands. If it comes in after that then my boyfriend has to send it to me. I`ll ask him to send it registered or signed for. Since it`s quite an important document.

I knew indeed that Quebec will also send the CSQ to my VO.

When I received my CSQ it had also stated they would send a copy to the VO for processing but then I had a request from Ottawa a little later for it. I just sent them a copy and all is good. I believe the original document will be used down the line for healthcare, French lessons, etc. I'm guessing any kind of assistance you get from the province.
