It depends why you haven't been able to meet the residency requirement.

I have been in Canada for short spells and completed more than 10 months. Due to my son's education and my pensionable service which ends shortly I could not move permantely.

Unlikely. Your situation and Your sons education outside of Canada wouldn’t be considered as H&C. It’s a personal choice and education is available in Canada.

As an FYI, PR status doesn’t expire. Only PR cards expire.

pensionable service means Indian govt job ?

who will leave an Indian govt job and struggle in Canada?

Very kind of you have replied. Only few more doubts remain.
1. If pr status remains then can I enter Canada after the expiry of the PR card
2. Can the PR Card be issued new to me ?
3. My wife is applying for citizenship as she has completed 3 years in Canada and she has PR card renewed also.
Pl advice
Regarding the education of my child . Due to his age he would have to loss two years if he joined Canadian school as in India he is two grades up compared to his age.

1. You will most likely have problems re-entering Canada since you have not met the residency obligation.
2. No - it won't. You haven't met RO.
3. If you lose your PR status, your wife can sponsor you for PR.

Can my son apply for citizenship along with my wife who is applying now for citizenship. He has not done full two years and therefore short of RO.

If they haven’t been in Canada for 3 of the past 5 years, then citizenship isn’t an option.

Is it not automatically that he gets citizenship along with his mother when she is fills for citizenship though his period of stay does complete RO
