Hello hmisabpk dear

are you online? Please reply.hope you remember my case.Need your suggestions again.I was asked for sputum test for my son. but i had gone for bronchoscopy earlier. My DMP says since bronchoscopy is more advanced than sputum test ,hence the sputum test is not required and he is sending the reports of bronchoscopy to the CHC with the note that the sputum test is not required. Is it OK? Please advise.

Hi, Shibu,

Yes I do remember.

If CHC required to do the sputum test, then it mean only the sputum test (which includes analyses, culture and sensitivities, it required 6 to 8 weeks incubation period for growth)

Bronchoscopy is advance in visualization of lungs' airways, called the bronchi and bronchioles but it would not give you the growth of any bacteria, virus or infection etc.. (Especially if they are looking for inactive tuberculosis)

If CHC has given the option to do Bronchoscopy instead of sputum test then it will be OK, otherwise they may ask you to do what they required. (not what is more advance test) for example if they ask to do plain x-ray chest, you can't give them more advance CT.Scan of chest.
Ask your DMP if they request any one test or they need only sputum test?
Otherwise may visa office will ask you again to send what test they have requested.

Hope that helps,

Hi, D.Osman,

1. It is depend on you how much small, big or luxuries house you like to buy. Range for apartment, condominium and houses are varying.
2. Yes there are for first time home buyer, low income families and for seniors (details are in below links)
3. Check below links

Buying a Home
A) Buying or building your home can be one of the largest investments you will make during your life. The Government of Canada offers programs and services to help you purchase, renovate, and adapt your house or condominium.
http://www.servicecanada.gc.ca/eng/lifeevents/buying_a_home.shtml

B) If you are considering buying a house, a townhouse or condominium, check local newspapers and new home magazines for listings of homes for sale. Take a walk or drive around neighbourhoods and communities that you may be interested in and watch for a "For Sale" sign. A real estate agent or broker can help you look for and find a home. To find a real estate agent or broker, check the Yellow Pages, the Gold Book or similar business directories under Real Estate.

Also hospital staff denying to tell me on which date they received the sputum test request. Don't know what should i do?

Hi, this reply to an PM may be helpful for others)

What are the RRSP, GIC, EFT, Mutual funds and Bonds?

Following are the summary of financial investment products, each investment have different rate of retunes, different level of risk and taxation. Almost all financial institutes and banks deal with above mentioned investments. Best, guarantied, low risk and save investment are government bonds, details are on these web links:
http://www.csb.gc.ca/canada-savings-bonds-program/products/
http://www.ontariosavingsbonds.com/en/index.html

My specialities are RESP (Registered Education Savings Plan) and details are on my following links: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/-t82990.0.html

What are the RRSP, GIC, EFT, Mutual funds and Bonds?

Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP):
An RRSP is a retirement savings plan that you establish, that we register, and to which you or your spouse or common-law partner contribute. Deductible RRSP contributions can be used to reduce your tax.
Any income you earn in the RRSP is usually exempt from tax as long as the funds remain in the plan; you generally have to pay tax when you receive payments from the plan.

Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC):
A Guaranteed Investment Certificate or GIC is a Canadian investment that offers a guaranteed rate of return over a fixed period of time, most commonly issued by trust companies or banks. Due to its low risk profile, the return is generally less than other investments such as stocks, bonds, or mutual funds. It is similar to a time or term deposit as known in other countries.

Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF):

An exchange-traded fund (ETF) is an investment fund traded on stock exchanges, much like stocks. An ETF holds assets such as stocks, commodities, or bonds, and trades close to its net asset value over the course of the trading day. Most ETFs track an index, such as a stock index or bond index.

Mutual Funds:

*Mutual funds have the potential for higher returns than something that is guaranteed, because they pool investor's money with other investors in order to take advantage of investments they wouldn't normally have access to. Mutual funds help ensure investors are exposed to the different asset classes, sectors, markets and regions that are available to them in order to gain potential higher returns.

Bonds:
A bond is an instrument of indebtedness of the bond issuer to the holders. It is a debt security, under which the issuer owes the holders a debt and, depending on the terms of the bond, is obliged to pay them interest (the coupon) and/or to repay the principal at a later date, termed the maturity.

You may be interested to know about Canada Savings Bonds (CSBs):
The Canada Savings Bond is a safe and secure savings product issued and fully guaranteed by the Government of Canada. Canada Savings Bonds can be redeemed at any time during the year.

http://www.csb.gc.ca/canada-savings-bonds-program/products/

Ontario Saving Bonds (OSBs):
http://www.ontariosavingsbonds.com/en/index.html

Hope that helps,
