Hello I recently married my wife who is living in Canada and am looking to immigrate from the US. I saw on the site here that some immigration requires multiple police certificates for each state I’ve lived in for 6 months. Does spousal sponsorship require this or will one police certificate from my current state work?

Yes I am aware that I need to get a police certificate but that was not the question.

states that certain offices require multiple state police certificates. The .ca site doesn’t say anywhere that you need multiple state certs but I’ve seen in some posts that some people require it as well as what’s stated in that hyperlink above. I was wondering if spousal sponsorship requires multiple or not.

Canadavisa is not an official IRCC website. Follow the official site, which clearly states you only need the FBI cert. If you have a criminal record and need to provide more info on it, a state certificate will likely be requested. If you don't have a record, you will not provide anything other than the FBI cert.
