Please I’m new here. I’m a Database Administrator with 3 years work experience from Nigeria. Currently in the UK for my masters that will end in September 2020. I have 405 CRS score for express entry and would love to pursue provincial nomination. Can I please know the steps to take and the options I can explore?

Officer called my employer and they talked 3-4 minutes. They asked simple questions, such as how long I have been working, if they are satisfy with my performance, what's my role, etc.

My profile is exactly the same as yours. I am pretty the main reason my application take longer was my visa expiration (2022).

Yes you need a connection of some sort through work, study, close friends or relatives unless you are invited through a strategic recruitment initiative..

To be considered a close relative of yourself or your spouse they would need to be one of the following:
Sister or Brother
Niece or Nephew (child of your sister or brother)
Aunt or Uncle (brother or sister of your mother or father)
First Cousin (child of aunt or uncle)
Mother or Father
Grandfather or Grandmother

Otherwise they would be classed as a distant relative which would score you 10 points under eligibility and only 50 points under the EOI ranking system.

Hello,

I have a first cousin in Manitoba and based on this connection I created my profile for MPNP (my overall EOI score is around 565) in August 2019. Till now status is still the same that assessment is in progress. All the LAAs since July 2019 in the SWO category have been for those falling in the Strategic Recruitment Initiative.

Wondering whether there will be a draw for those who don't fall under the SRI category anytime soon?

My CRS score is around 440 under EE. Can having a EE profile help my MPNP profile in any way?

Would really appreciate some feedback.
