I am moving to Calgary from montreal in summer 2016. I have a good Job here as a software eng. I have made my mind and will be moving. I started applying for jobs and even if i dont get it i would still be moving.
I do know that the market is bit slow over there and maybe tough to get jobs, but the number of jobs in the city is not my reason to move....
Reasons to choose Calgary.
1) Want to live in english province
2) Toronto/Vancouver are expensive and their market is very tough as i want to start something of my own eventually.
3) Calgary is bit cheaper than those big cities
4) I personally think is I end up starting something of my own i would have less competition as i would face in cities like Toronto and Vancouver. (this could just be my assumption)
5) I love nature too and calgary does have.
6) Less tax
Things i am worried
1) New city
2) Oil Market is down and affects alberta the most
3) They say it gets really cold ( not that big issue)
