Montreal citizenship - any updates?

EasyRider did you actually confront the CIC agent and told them that you know your application was approved? I am curious what their response was.

Any news? I hear some January test takers in Montreal are getting oath invitations now.

I called CIC today and they still don't have oath date for me (2 months after test and my case was approved in December).

I wonder why even ceremony scheduling works so differently.

Very confusing how they place people for events.

Yes, I mentioned it was approved last year and I wanted to know what's going with ceremony-- she just looked into file said there was no ceremony date scheduled for me yet, that's it.

You have to ask for specific things to make sure they look into the right direction. Otherwise agents are just likely to tell "everything is fine, just wait" to save time.

For example, you can ask whether there have been any activities on file after a test date, for instance, whether a judge and CIC have approved the case and when exactly, or if a hearing will be required.

I did, and they dont give any details, except we sent a message to local office and call us back in 3 months..i dont get it..

I do not ask many detailed questions when I call CIC in order not to send a wrong signal. Instead I rely on the niceness of the agents. Some reveal more information than others, while others seem to be overwhelmed and want to get over with you asap.

This time the agent told me that the local office has up to six month to process my file and that I have to wait.

Even some January 2014 people got their invites. Go figure how CIC schedules people for events!

Finally got oath letter today!

E-cas was updated too, ceremony is March 11.

So, it took 70 days since test to get a letter.
