Good morning

I've been in Canada for more than 1,300 days in the last five years, but I made a mistake on the physical presence statement on my citizenship application. What happens if I make a mistake on my entry and exit dates from Canada?
But I still meet the required number of days here to apply.

I haven't received any updates since March, and the physical presence and prohibitions still in process.

Please advise!

This may result in a delay to your application but you should ultimately be approved.

As long as the discrepancies between what you reported in the physical presence travel history and your actual travel history are within a range that is consistent with "a mistake" (or even a few minor mistakes), as @scylla commented, that could cause some delay but ultimately the application is likely to be approved.

That is, I agree with @scylla . . . based on the assumption this was "a mistake" that does not suggest reason to question your credibility.

So, assuming that in your travel history information you merely made a minor mistake, or not many minor mistakes, the odds are you do not need to read or consider my further comments, below.

Indeed, even if you failed to report a couple or so brief periods of absence, such as a holiday or three (trips for a week or three or so outside Canada), not only should the application be OK but you could probably reduce the extent of delays by submitting corrected information in a webform.

For most applicants who make mistakes in their travel history, the main thing is that after the travel history is corrected the applicant still meets the 1095 days of physical presence requirement.

Discrepancies Compromising Credibility:

Probably no need to go into depth about it here, but there are situations in which the errors or discrepancies in reported travel history can seriously compromise an applicant's credibility, and potentially make it difficult for the applicant to meet the burden of establishing sufficient physical presence even if the applicant is certain that they still meet the physical presence requirement. In cases involving particularly significant omissions or errors, IRCC might even conclude there was misrepresentation, a stand alone basis for denying the application (even if the applicant nonetheless still met the physical presence requirement).

There can be a big difference, for example, in how IRCC approaches a case where an applicant failed to report a two or three week holiday, for example, or even a couple of those, versus an applicant failing to report periods working outside Canada adding up to six months.

In any event . . . if your mistake was just some dates of entry or exit off by a few days here and there, or a failure to report one or two relatively short periods of absence (less than a month or so), no need to worry. That said, if you failed to report a period of time outside Canada and you can give IRCC the correct information, you can submit a webform to correct your information, and doing that would probably be a good idea. No need to do this if you were just a day or three off in reporting exit or entry dates, particularly for an applicant with well over a hundred days more than needed.
