my background check changed to started processing in mid July. I am sure there is no change on mycic account after i saw the status.
in terms of pre-arrival email, you may or may not receive it. I don't know why tho.

I've never been able to access ECAS but my GCKey still shows background check in progress. And there isn't any notes or emails showing as PPR on GCKey either. But PPR was received by email.

GCKey in my experience (and from what I've read) doesn't update when you get PPR. When you get COPR after submitting your passport (or copy of it if that's all they want), that's when it updates to complete the background check, note the application has been approved, etc.

FYI others in the thread, my application took almost exactly 6 months from being received at Mississauga to receiving PPR. So did most of the others apart from 2-3 abnormally fast ones while I was checking in here every day. If your application is only a few months old, you'll drive yourself absolutely crazy expecting DM/PPR within 3-4 months. Mississauga average is definitely more like 6, and sometimes longer (and it sounds like the CPC-Sydney transfer is making things slower too). Try to be patient and calm, as hard as that is. I eventually managed to feel this way after a few months of waiting!

Same here my bgc started on August 3 and there were absolutely no changes on any lines of my GCKey account. Please update here if/when you receive DM/PPR.

my file received in may 23 and in july got medical request and SA and in end of july medical passed but after that there is no update at all no transfer email, even bgc also not started as per gckey. i called and they said your file is currently under review in mississauga.

is there anyone else in same situation (No transfer email, no bgc) from may and file is still in mississauga.

Hi, it happened to me as well. It said “application/profile updated” but didn’t have any change or update. After a few minutes, I signed in again and it went back to “submitted”. I have no idea what it’s going on.

Any news? I called IRCC and the agent said he couldn’t see what the update was and that there’s no emails scheduled for me, but that I passed the bgc and that things were looking very positive with my file. He didn’t say anything about my eligibility tho but I’m hoping I get PPR this week

Glad you know that you passed the bgc. After passing bgc, what are they working on then?
My gckey shows that my bgc is still in process.

I don’t see anything regarding passing the Bgc, the call Center agent told me. I called
1 (888) 242-2100 And options 2-1-1-0
