Hello,
I am 3 weeks short of 3 years experience in home country and am to create my express entry profile now. Please suggest the criteria CIC follows to count work experience and if I can select 3 years as my foreign experience.
Thanks in Advance.

If you wait for another 3 weeks, your score will be higher. If you enter now, your score will increase automatically after 3 weeks

You can only select 2 weeks. As suggested above, once you've worked another three weeks, you can change this number.

Hi Pinky,

Check the latest draw. If your points are near the draw points, dont wait and submit application immediately. Even if they are less, you can always modify. Do not lose opportunity....

cheers...

Thanks for response. Am currently a student in Canada and the work experience is from home country. Does any part time or self employment job cover this 3 week gap?

Any work experience (self employed or part time) gained while a student in Canada cannot be counted towards Express Entry.

Will it be considered if I work after finishing my school here while still being in Canada?

Yes - after you graduate.

If I work for a client from home country while staying in Canada, will it be counted as foreign experience?
