Hi all,

Is there any minimum wage requirement? My NOC is 1311. I was paid $14/hr which is the minimum here in Ontario.
Is there someone who got refused because they were paid minimum?
I’m just worried because I just passed my application last week.

The requirements are only that you were paid and performed the NOC job duties. There is no minimum wage requirement for federal programs but some PNP do require that you demonstrate a minimum level of income to qualify.

There are no wage requirements however your application can certainly be refused if your wage is too low and not aligned to the NOC under which you are claiming work experience.

Low is actually $15 in Ontario (not $14) for your NOC. Which city are you in? That may help you (or maybe not).

Being paid only minimum wage and below the "low" for your NOC puts you at risk of refusal since IRCC may doubt you actually carried out these job accountabilities based on your pay.

Hi,

I’m from Mississauga. The company I was working was only a small company and there were only 2-4 employees.

You're below the low wage in that case. Low wage for your occupation is $15.

It's hard to say what will happen. Always a chance of approval - however also a risk of refusal due to your wage.

Hey I am in the same situation. What did u do with your application? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Hello, as far as I know for CEC wage is not that important. but i could be wrong. If you are inland, CEC, then should be fine. But get expert opinions too. Also i know of some website where you can check the average wage for your particular NOC code https://www.jobbank.gc.ca/marketreport/wages-occupation/16400/39070 check obviously depending the province you're in

Job bank shows 14.25 low, 18.27 median, 33.28 High. However, it is for present and I got 15$ in work experience for year 2020. I cant find what these figures(job bank) would have been in year 2018. But it could be 14 low at that time as minimum pay was 14 in 2018. I just cant find anyone in any forum who got their pr as supervisor at minimum pay.
