This is now 4 weeks I have been waiting for passport to be returned... My friend sent hers after me and already got it back!! Not sure the hold up! It seems like it's the same person signing for everyone's passports, so safe to say they know it's there!!!

Besides my husband sent an email and they said two to three weeks to get it returned...... And we got that email on the third week!

Wauw oh ok.. We don't even have a week waiting yet so I guess Ima pipe down a bit and chill... I hope we all get our passports back soon.. Which courier did you chose?

We could only use Dhl, the other couriers refused to send the passport, and I know it's their fault it's taking so long because they wouldn't let us prepay. Not sure why it's taking so long, both sb414 and myself know different people who recieved their passport back in just over a week, there's no reason for the delay, they responded to the email inquiring and said it would take 2-3 weeks....

it's so weird.. some people have no problem using UPS in DR to send passports.. and then for others, they won't do it!

We tried fedex too, they wouldn't send the passport!! DHL was our only option, and could only be sent from the head office, it couldn't be any branch in the Dominican Republic. We went into one Dhl and they made us leave and go to head office to send it! Not understanding at all!

We literally phones every place and nobody would do it! My next step was going to be the consulate, which probably would have been the better option.

Weird.. Here they only told me that I would have to sign an agreement saying they would not be responsible but when I arrived at the office where I live(not the branch) they gave me no prob at all.. That was so not cool... Yeah that's the option I was thinking on but I live super far from the centre here.. So fedex was my best option...

Yes, my friend sent from Canada, with the waybill return to Dominican Republic. All was done in 10 days!

Just FYI - I am in documentation phase for my spouse's visa. Yet to apply. We have been dating for few years from 2 different countries. We do not have much chat details, because we use facetime a lot. As you are aware, phone company wouldnt provide the bills for internet calls ( which shows the number of caller, whom the call is directed to, and minutes. I was able to recover most of this information with "smartphone recover pro" app. The output is in CSV form. I am also attaching a letter stating this to visa officer.

Yes she arrived in DR the day we sent the passport and when I told her what happened she got all worried and took the passports back to Canada and sent using fedex with return to DR, and they did it!

do you know how much it cost to send from Canada?
my husband is coming on his visitor visa and then we are sending his passport from here

I was wondering if someone that has been to an interview can help me with this.

Will i get a confirmation email?? once i respond that i will be assisting to the interview? or is my confirmation the email they send asking me to go to the appointment ?
