6 weeks since passport was sent and still no news!
Every day every hour checking to see any positive news and nothing! Im very sad and frustrated.
Yesterday I finally talked to my employer and gave notice I will be going (hopefully) to Canada soon, because I was waiting until I got my visa in order to not give wrong information but time was getting too short to give notice so finally I just had to let my boss know.
Now, of course I have to stay longer here because of my short notice, I had plans to be there by July 15th (if I had received my visa in the first 2 weeks after I sent passport like everyone else does) but now I was asked by my boss to stay here until August 8th.
Of course I can not buy a flight ticket since I do not know yet if Im approved or not.....
Do CIC officers realize or even imagine how stressful and how much our lives depend on whether they want to finalize an application or not? My life is on hold as I could not give proper notice to leave my job, I need to rent the appartment I own and I can not give a date whether this will be in July or August, I can not buy a flight ticket even though I was told I must land in Canada before August 19th......
OMG too stressful....please I just want to be over with this.
Extremely sad and anxious.

Fabibeach, I have a question for you. Please answer me if you can. When you say that you was told to land in Canada before August 19th, what are you talkihng about? Was the embassy that told you that or it is something that you wanted with your sponsor? Do they give a period of time to land there? I will appreciate your answer dear!

Yes, that was stated in PPR letter.PPR letter does not exactly says I have been approved.....it only says phrases like: "the processing of your application for PR in Canada is ALMOST COMPLETE", "Before a visa can be issued we require the following: Original passport for each APPROVED APPLICANT", "Your visa will expire on 2015/08/19", "Please note that you MUST TRAVEL to Canada within the validity of your visa".......so, thats the date they are giving me.

Oh Wow! Thanks for your answer. The time is really short. Worst if they send the passport by regular mail. I will continue waiting, but without notice from MVO I can not make any movement in my country from my job, myn son's school or anything else. Just because the love I could change my life like this. Good luck Fabibeach for next steps!

BTW, someone knows what about CanZanillo???? ::) ::) ::)

I asked this question before but nobody responded. Does anyone have a phone number to contact the Mexico City Visa Office?

The validity of the visa is defined by the expiration date of the medical exam or the applicant's and dependent's passports. The medical exam is valid for one year from the date the medical exam was started (i.e., if there was any follow up or if x-rays/lab tests were done on a different date from the medical exam, the earliest date starts the clock running). Sometimes, if everything else is ready, the medical was performed within 12-15 months, and the only thing holding up the visa issuance is the medical exam validity, CIC may extend the medical exam for a year.

Good to hear about you. Thanks guys for your answers. Let me tell you that we received our OFICIAL 2AOR by email this Monday and our status on ECAS changed to In Process. I also receive my UCI number. We are very happy because we see a light at the end of this pathway! ;D ;D
Also, my meds will expire on October, so maybe I can have good news before that time! :)

You know what Canzanillo, i have been thinking that they maybe.. Just maybe sent me the aor2 by regular mail
And not by e-mail, so... If that is the case i will get AOr2 by a month or 2 depending on the horrible postal service we have in mexico. Hopefuly not, hopefuly they will send me AOr2 by e-mail this upcoming week :D
Another thing is that i sent them an e-mail asking them to kindly send me e-mails instead of regular mails for future communication and they just keep copy pasting the same thing:

I've sent them a few e-mails too and that's exactly what I get. Basically telling us to leave them alone and they'll contact us when they're ready. I tried calling but was told they can't/won't give any information by phone. So I guess we just wait!!! Good luck everyone
