Thanks alot. Its like everyday they add new regulations and change things up. The last step after i forward the rcmp certificate i believe will be them asking for his passport. I just ddnt want the expired medical to prolong the process

Is there a reason why they needed the rcmp? was he in Canada before as a tourist or work visa?

May hopefully!
Is an AOR always issued after the file is transferred to Mexico city? And if so, should I expect one a month or two after the transfer?

Some people also receive the AOR after 3 or 4 months... That's why I was so happy I finally got it. It seems pretty regular to have it after 3 months.

They have changed the process to order the gcms (not sure what it means exactly, but its the notes on everything that has been done with your file) here is a link that tells about the new procedure to order them online

It was good! and very easy!,
He said it was standard the way you enter any country, than when they took him to the separate immigration room, there were some office admin people he dealt with. They just asked him the standard questions, if he has been in Canada before, they asked him for the ARC, asked him to confirm all his information is correct, stamped his B4, made some photocopies, cancelled his visa and sent him on his way.

They didn't give him any info on his rights as a PR or how to get health care or SIN though.

I have heard sometimes they will give you info about this or brochures and sometimes they wont, depends on the person helping you.

but other than that it was very quick and easy and they were friendly for the most part.
:)

How long did it take from when he landed? And if there are other recent people that landed. Aprox how many hts after landing did you come out?
