Finally moving along

I am so thankful i stumbled upon this forum last year. When i married my husband in January 2012, i had absolutely no idea how immigration worked and if we could even apply since my husband is undocumented living in the United States. I found sooo many websites, but none as helpful as this one. I have read all the 500+ pages in this forum and i want to thank everyone of you guys who have taken the time to give help and advice that no one would find anywhere else.

I have currently been approved to sponsor my husband, and now im just waiting for the AOR from Mexico City. :)

thank youu guys :)
By the way i just sent my passport with UPS and they told me that the embassy will get it on monday
I just hope they send it back really quick
I cant wait

My hubby had to get his hair cut to get the precartilla pictures... he is really self-conscious about the shape of his skull and the way he looks now. I feel really bad for him but it will grow back...

Question for anyone who went through this. Do you have to have "military hair" when you go to get the precartilla or just when you get the photos? The reason I ask is they're telling him he has to wait until early March to apply...

Hey guys! I just sent the application yesterday! I was so excited :) Now we want to start the police certificate early to save some time, but my husband is confused as to what to ask for for the SSP Certificate. Does anybody know how it's called in Mexico, Spanish translation... or do the employees all know what it is already ?

Thanks in advance for your help !!

The SSP is called secretaria de seguridad publica. When my husband went to the building he asked for this. All he had to do was show his ID and he had the document in a few minutes.

We sent our passports this morning and we were told the Embassy will have them Monday morning! ;D Partied last night. Gotta sell a car and 2 motorcycles now! 8)

Congrats to everyone that recieived their PPR's! Its a great feeling and time, enjoy it! :)

does this mean anything?

We received your application for permanent residence on October 5, 2012.

We started processing your application on January 15, 2013.

Medical results have been received.

please pay attention in particular to the "We started processing your application on January 15, 2013."...comment because as of yesterday this wasnt showing and we sent the police report on December 27th!

Isnt that strange since you already got the PPR?

maybe it just means they are now reviewing certain details? I hope it means PPR coming soon!

congrats again!
