My husband´s canadian, I´m Mexican, living in mexico

o okay!!

Are you anywhere near mexico city?
if you are, i would suggest you go and get your SSP certificate and send it in, this may cut down the time of your process, also consider sending a prepaid waybill to canadian embassy in mexico city, this may also speed up the process, because to get the other police certificate PGR you need a letter from the embassy, which they usually send to you close to the end but it could take 30 days for you to receive it, but if you send them a prepaid waybill you may get the PGR request letter much faster... just some thoughts, most of us have been doing that recently.

:D

precartilla question!!. ASAP

my husband is reading online the military website and it says for people who did not receive the precartilla when they were 18, they need to get a constancia letter or something from their town or origin stating why it was not issued.

is this true??/

has anyone that got the precartilla been asked for this paper???

an answer asap would be great as we are going tomorrow to try and get it!!

thankss

Nope! Just go to the place with all the documents (photos, IDs, etc), and if they ask why didn't he get it when he was 18, just have him say that he wasn't living in Mexico at the moment. That's what I did, I got my precartilla and that was enough to get the PGR :)

Woohoo! They updated Step 2, and Mexico went down one month! That's good news!

Really? In Cancun they gave us THE WORST time about this rule and almost were refusing to give us the precartilla. They acutally made is go and come back 8 times about this one specific rule.

Yeah it's nice that there are quite a few of us that are all at the same step. I think there's 5 of us here that got the AOR within the last month. The race is on for PGRs!! lol Hopefully all 5 PGRs will be on the way to the embassy soon!

Damn that sucks! Getting the precartilla was pretty easy. Ironically I didn't get it because I needed the PGR. I actually got it because they asked for it at my current job. So I already had it when the PGR was mailed out :D

I'm originally from Tijuana, so my state is Baja California. I got it here in Mexico City with a receipt from my landlord.

Do you think going right to college when he turned 18 would be a good reason on why he didn't get it. Or should he stick with that he wasn't in the country at that time? We have all the proofs he went to school than, his degress and stuff
