So my husband just submitted a case specific inquiry to change his address, and he also asked for confirmation that he received his file, and it now says 28 working days to receive a response!! (If you get one at all of course) Not good :(

I think you will get an answer much faster.

we sent them an enquiry last wednesday august 1, and they replied today. so it was only 10 days. :)

Although we still didnt get any info out of them lol!. my husband has 2 emails, one that he put on the application and a new one that hes using now because the other is full of spam. So we sent the enquiry with the newer email and they wouldnt give us information untill we send an email from the same one that they have on the application form lol.

But at this point I give up on sending them emails, since they sent us the request for medical theres no point in me emailing them anymore right now. haha

I'm still wondering when it would be appropriate for me to send them a Case-specific enquiry. On Tuesday it will be three weeks since I submitted my FBI Police Check. I'm starting to get very annoyed and impatient. I guess I'm just afraid that if I send them something too soon, I'll get a grumpy dude thinking "Oh yeah you want an answer you little pr*ck? We'll make you wait another month, how about that?" :(

how long did they say it should take to get there?

hahaha! yeah true! but i think most the people answering emails are probably women, so you should be fine, unless you catch one of them on their lady days than you may be sorry for sending an email!.

I always go to the embassy in person and give them whatever they ask for, since my workplace is a 10 minute walk away. So basically two Tuesdays ago lol. Remember that the officer who originally refused my application was a woman, so yeah. That doesn't help much :P

I sent a case specific on July 26 and other than the automatic email kick-back, the silence is deafening. Enough is enough. At the moment, this crazy frustrating waiting game kinda feels like trying to keep a small watercraft afloat in a raging sh*tstorm. Pardon my Francais.

I can't seem to remember where you live, but after my appeal was allowed, I waited two months before I started annoying the crap out of them, I not only sent an email, but I also sent a case-specific enquiry and I went directly to the embassy and gave them a hand-written letter asking them what was going on. It seemed to work as I got a reply soon after that. I'm just getting upset because I got an email requesting the FBI police check only a week after I had handed in the other documents.

I think you are going to hear something really, really soon. If you've heard nothing early next week, a follow up would certainly not be unreasonable.

I'm in Toronto, my husband is in Mexico City. He hand delivers everything right at the counter, just like you have been doing. Wouldn't doubt it if you've crossed paths on that well worn route to the embassy :) We have been working with the MP this week firing off some inquiries and letters, so hopefully we have some insights about whether security is finally done sometime soon. Trying to stay positive, but as you know too well, after such a long wait some days are pretty rough.

I bet you will see a PPR this batch Edgar. Hang in there!

Maybe I have seen Mr. Romero, who knows :D That's good that your MP is helping you out with the situation. My wife's MP blew us off when she tried to ask for help, but I'm hoping we won't need it anyway.

We'll both hear something soon. I'm positive :D
