What about your birth certificate?? That was the worst part. They wouldn't accept mine at first because it didn't have my parents name on it. They literally laughed at my birth cert like it was a joke. And they blood tests were a nightmare. We had to pay extra to get it done privately because at the public place we had to be there at 5am, or they wouldn't do it. We lived far.. with no car.. and it's hard to get a taxi at 4am!! and no busses. Just one thing after the other.. I swear the only reason we got everything in place was because my husband kind of knew the guy marrying us. He had to ask his supervisor to accept my birth certificate, and didn't make us get it certified by the Canadian embassy.

Oh you have no idea how many issues I have had with my birth certificate in the 3 years I have been here! When I applied for my student visa they wouldn´t accept it so I had to get them a copy of my parent´s birth certificates and their marriage certificate!

And so when I got married I asked them if that would be a problem and they said no...so that was okay!

But just the other day I had to hand in my birth certificate to be able to do my thesis defence and the girl literally laughed in my face and says ¨is that it??? ....well we will see if they accept it...¨

yikes sounds like a nightmare!!
eek i have a major phobia of needles!. but if there was no other choice i would marry here.
but it wouldnt be ideal of either of us.
so im glad canada doesnt make you get blood tests to get married!! haha

yeah we were gunna get xrays for my hubby a couple months ago at a public place and they told us to be there 5am.
but we got lucky and his uncle is close friends with a doctor and chiro. so we went there and got the check ups and stuff for free from the doctor and the chiro his uncle paid for so we were lucky :)

That's exactly the response I got!! So annoying!! They have new birth certificates now that look better, but I still had my original one.

Oh I was born in 81. My parents actually moved back to NS when I was 2. I moved to Alberta six years ago, Banff first, but now in Fort McMurray.

The PGR will accept the precartilla.. I emailed them maybe two months ago and they confirmed
