They have the dried ones At both stores mentioned. I think for a big bag they were 7.99, so not a bad price at all!

Thanks ! for the info.... (I think I will still bring some since weight wont really be an issue )

Yeah you should! That's the one thing we really regret not bringing. Also, if you can get a bottle of vanilla (if you are into cooking) I only have one bottle left and haven't been able to find decent vanilla here yet!

Yep then he should be fine! I think the guy meant like if you didn´t even go through the marble picking process for whatever reason...then you need to go to Mexico city.
I cannot even believe the Mexican government chooses marble picking for their military service, and pushing a button at customs to get a red or a green light. Mexico is so strange...

Haha, I might have to have you send me some if I run out soon :p

Yes landed but Back in Mexico for a while packing up and getting ready for the move. I think we will bring the chilies, vanilla ( I have one bottle but will bring more) and a bunch of Japanese peanuts ( my favourite kind) I know it sounds crazy but we will be driving up So I am going to stock up

PS the buttons and the marbles are to create an illusion of randomness (fairness) ::)

OK I hope this does not sound like too stupid of a question but how easy is it to get chiles, Serrano, Chipotle, habanero, jalapeño (either fresh, dried or canned) in Toronto and how expensive are they? I am trying to decide how much to bring with me and I cannot imagine life with just "tabasco" sauce....... anything else I should "stock up" on? (besides dollars of course)

You and my husband must be long lost brothers lol. Or siblings if you're a woman. :)

Well No Word yet...rrgghh....my daughter was telling me on Skype tonite that she has called the embassy to find out what is going on. When she did get answered, all it was was a recording stating what was already on the CIC site. Has anyone else had any luck actually speaking to anyone at the Mexico City embassy? Or rec'd an email back? Her email was sent over a month ago and still no response. Personally, I am getting very frustrated with all of this and the lack of communication us family members receive about our loved ones we are waiting for! On the 22nd of May, it will be two months since my son in laws interview!

They don't answer the phone. The recording says that. They will email back. But I think only if it is necessary. I doubt they'll email just to update you. I know it's hard. I'm sorry. :(

I emailed them like 2 weeks ago because I still hadn´t received the pgr letter. But when we tried to email it using my husband´s email address it wouldn´t work; so we just put my email address down.

Yesterday I got an answer from them saying that if I want to email them I have to use my husband´s email address. ??? So annoying!! I wish you could just call the embassy it would make things so much easier.

Oh yeah I forgot about that. Only the applicant can email.

He should have one. Call CIC - they'll be able to give it to him if he gives them the case number.

Can I call on behalf of my SO to get his client number or can only he get it?
