I'm glad it's all straighten out and tattoo has no criminal gang affiliations, Mrs. Romero.
I hope you get a speedy and successful completion to your process... You just made me remember how long mine was (16 months "only", but better than 2 plus years for other processes) and how sweet the end of the tunnel was for us.
You will enjoy it too!.
Rob.

Did somebody call?

Anyway I just got back from handing out all the documents and getting my fingerprints done for the PGR. Everyone was so friendly and I should be getting the document on May 28th. In the meanwhile I'm going to go to the embassy on Monday and hand in the other documents that they asked for.

We are now at around 15 months processing, so not far behind you. I have to admit that last month was probably the lowest I've felt through the entire process. Decided to stay away from the forum, avoid all immigration discussion and kept myself super busy. Then lo and behold, there is finally some action on our file! The return of optimism feels very good and we are hopeful that soon we too will be able to experience the excitement of moving forward together. Thanks for all the kind words folks!

No, but received an email saying file is now in queue for review. We think this message might be signalling that security clearances are finally done. Hoping for the best.

LOL I guess sarcasm isn't the same through a computer screen :)

I said "Did somebody call?" because Robrod said that his paperwork took 16 months, but at least not as much as other people here who have been dealing with this for 2+ years (me) that's why I said "did somebody call?" :D

Omg! 15 and 16 months! That scares me :(

Yep, that one flew right overhead. ::) Oops! Sorry 'bout that - I'm totally out of the loop these days. Hope you are nearing a happy ending on this ridiculously long journey!

Thanks! Same to you. Hopefully these are the last documents I need and next will be passport request. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Didn't mean to scare anybody...
My 16 months were Inland, back in 2009.
Hopefully Outland is faster...

Hi everybody!

I have a question, i hope somebody can answer me or guide me... I am applying Outland my husvpband is in Quebec and I am here, my papers are already here in the embassy, I was wondering if I wanted to visit him, can I get a visitor visa?? Would it be complicated or would it affect the actual sponsorship demand?

Thanks for your help! ;D

It is hard to get a visitors visa once your application is in progress but not impossible. If you have strong evidence that you will return to Mexico that may work.

It won't complicate things but you may just waste time and money.

I've been around in this forum and the question of those famous visitor's visas while applications are in progress has come up more than enough times. And I haven't read of a single case where someone got one successfully or perhaps I missed the one that got it?.
I applied for one myself, denied. Did it complicate my process?, I'm sure they noticed that.
