We just asked,

We sent proof of employment (Sponsor)
A copy of the AOR
A letter from the sponsor indicating that I am financially responsible for all expenses
The regular form

We mailed the extension a month before the expiry date

They appoved and asked for a medical exam but we just sent them a photocopy of the medical form that we mailed with our PR application (This was indicated to us by the CIC call centre)

I believe you need police reports from every state you lived in. Someone else can chime in if this is not the case.

Hello all and good afternoon!

For a STATE police check, how long is it viewed as valid (i.e before the embassy says that its expired and asks for a new one)

Thanks!

As per CIC:

Who needs a police certificate?

In general, you and everyone in your family who is 18 years of age or over need to obtain a police certificate. You must obtain a police certificate from each country or territory where you have lived for six consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18.

The certificate must have been issued no more than three months before you submit your application.

If the original certificate is neither in English nor in French, submit both the certificate and the original copy of a translation prepared by an accredited translator with your application.

Great thanks islenio.. did your wife get that inside Canada, or in Mexico?
