If someone was wondering what happened with the military card, my SO and I got the document this morning dismissing him from his Military Service. If anyone is in a similar situation please PM me or post on the thread and I will be happy to post the information about how we got the paper!

As per CIC:

The certificate must have been issued no more than three months before you submit your application.

How long does it take from the time you send in the application, to the time they receive the application typically? And just to make sure, did everyone here then get the police check translated into English?

Thanks

We got ours translated!

Thanks for the info Nessa! Do you by any chance know how long after you send in the application they receive it (from your personal experience)

Thanks!

Thanks

We had ours translated and sent it with the original application to Mississauga

In our case it took a couple of days (expresspost) to mississauga and and a couple of months to get sponsor approval

Congrats! Very nice to see that even after a denial there can be a happy ending.

i just got an email asking for the police certificates!!! I am so excited. I am confused now about the translations. Just a few months ago on the embassy website they had information that stated that documents written in english, french of spanish did not need to be translated. I cannot find that info anymore, they changed the whole thing. I asked a month ago about the translation(i sent an email) and they answer saying that if a translation was needed they would request it. What should i do? I do not want to spend money on a translation if it is not absolutely needed. Also, my medical examintation will expire on february the first and they did not request new ones. Should i just send them? oh, i almost forgot, someone was saying about the process for the medicals being different now. Does anyboby know anything? Thanks a lot.
